Sepam regards the Safety & Health of all its Employees, Clients and Subcontractors as one of its highest priorities,
and in order to maintain this focus we have set ourselves an objective of “Zero Accidents” in everything we do.
To achieve this we must recognise that:
- All injuries are preventable therefore we must have proper Safety
Systems & Procedures in place. In doing this we can ensure
injuries are not caused by unsafe actions of people and the existence
of unsafe working conditions.
- Management is responsible and accountable for maintaining a
safe & healthy work environment for all Employees, and for
ensuring at all times that Safety Systems and Procedures are adhered
to.
- All Hazardous & Environmentally Dangerous exposures are
minimised and safeguarded against, through careful planning and
engineering, appropriate work practices & procedures, training,
inspections, and the proper use of protective clothing and equipment
- Safety is a condition of employment for all Employees, with
Employees having responsibility for ensuring their own and fellow
Employee’s health and safety. All Employees must strictly
adhere to the HSE policies, rules, procedures and work practices.
- Continuous Safety Awareness through Safety Induction Programmes,
training, motivation, co-operation, participation, and commitment
of all employees.
